There are many different types of light bulbs out there, and different types of cfls that you can see in most places like hotels, and businesses today. The fluorescent light bulbs are basically the same thing as a cfl (compact fluorescent light) just the fluorescent light bulbs are usually bigger in size, and used for commercial use.

Fluorescent light bulbs are starting to be used on a day to day basis, they are beginning to be commonly found in house holds throughout the states, and many small businesses as well. Many people use these type of light bulbs because the light bulbs don’t take up as much energy as regular incandescent light bulbs so, and actually save the customers a lot of money in the long run. The fluorescent light bulbs are made with a ballast, and different phosphor gases are inside the tube also with mercury as well. The tungsten that are built within these types of light bulbs give of a different spectrum of light as well commonly called a “soft light”.

There have been many studies done by different scientists at random universities that prove that the fluorescent bulbs save on not only money for the customer, but also help save the environment as well. These bulbs help the environment because they don’t give off as much greenhouse gas as the regular incandescent bulbs, actually the fluorescent bulbs give off about two-thousand times less green house gases then the regular bulbs. The lifespan of these bulbs are almost ten times longer then that of incandescent bulbs as well, because of the way that they are built.

Although these bulbs save most people a lot of money in the long run the initial cost of the bulbs are a lot more then that of the regular incandescent bulbs. The price is almost three times greater in most cases then the regular bulbs. There are also two different types of the fluorescent bulbs as well, they are called integrated, and non-integrated bulbs. The integrated are those that can fit in the regular lamp fixtures where there are usually common incandescent bulbs. The non-integrated bulbs tend to do more expensive, and these bulbs can only fit in fixtures that are made for the fluorescent bulbs.
